WQB Mold Removal treats toxigenic black mold as its own category of Lexington job, with stricter PPE, full containment, and independent clearance testing built into every step.
We built this service around the health stakes involved — families searching for answers about respiratory symptoms, buyers wary of a flagged inspection report, landlords facing a tenant complaint.
What sets our Black Mold Removal crew apart in Lexington.
Protective equipment gets replaced between jobs, never reused across properties. Every technician on a toxigenic job has completed specialized containment training beyond standard certification.
Containment stays in place until post-treatment testing confirms it's safe to remove. We log air quality readings throughout the Lexington job, not just at the start and end.
We document exposure conditions and provide records some Lexington clients share with their physician. Every technician on a toxigenic job has completed specialized containment training beyond standard certification.
We understand this diagnosis creates urgency, and our dispatch reflects that. We log air quality readings throughout the Lexington job, not just at the start and end.
Every Lexington job gets scoped to the specific problem, not a generic checklist.
Misidentifying common surface mold as toxigenic wastes money on protocol that isn't needed, so confirmation matters.
Heavy plastic sheeting and negative air pressure isolate the contaminated zone before any material is disturbed.
Industrial air scrubbers run continuously through the job, filtering contaminated air before it can spread.
Porous materials with active toxigenic growth — drywall, insulation, carpet padding — typically can't be salvaged and get removed per protocol.
We recommend a third-party lab handle clearance testing for objectivity on a job this serious.
Reoccupancy guidance is based on lab results, not a visual check alone.
Because of the health stakes involved, we keep every step documented and explained upfront.
A quick call helps our Lexington dispatcher send the right equipment on the first visit. Texting a photo ahead of time can speed up prep.
Our nearest available crew heads straight to your Lexington address with the gear this job actually needs. You'll get a call or text when the crew is on the way.
You'll know the full scope and price before we touch anything in your Lexington property. We'll explain the quote in plain language, not just hand you a number.
The job isn't done until it passes our own check, backed by a written guarantee. We'll walk the space with you before calling it finished.

The questions we hear most about toxigenic mold.
Not all black-colored mold is this species, which is why confirmation testing matters before assuming the worst — or dismissing it.
For extensive contamination, we may recommend temporary relocation, especially for anyone with respiratory sensitivity.
The underlying goal is the same — get rid of it — but the health stakes change how carefully the process is run.
Visual color alone isn't reliable — several mold species and even some dirt or mildew look similarly dark.
We provide the documentation most carriers ask for, including lab confirmation and photos of the containment process.
